Recovery From Addiction: Part 4 – Is “Surrender” Really the Answer?

Surrender is not easy for many people to accept. It’s not easy for Gary Buyer’s and it’s likely not easy for you either.

In today’s video interview below with Joe Tarasuk, Founder of Crossroads Freedom Center and Gary Buyers of Helping Up Mission, they discussion the challenge of “Surrender.”

Instead of the term “Surrender”, Gary prefers the acronym “HOW”:

H - Honest
O - Open
W - Willing

When we can admit our own struggles, recovery can start to happen.

HOW opens the door to transparency and a willing heart.

Joe says it like this:

“Hard are how we learn and our hardest times are our greatest blessings.”

Recovery and being in the trenches moves one closer to God and recovery success from addiction, hurts and pains as one leans the discipline of “HOW”.

Watch the video to learn more about HOW to move beyond the impossible feelings of “surrender” so that you can receive recovery from your addiction.
