In Part 5 of Joe Tarasuk’s interview with Paul Foss, Paul shares the story of “The Prospector.”
What is a “Prospector”?
Paul shares how a friend found himself in a bad situation and was searching for meaning and significance, and his greatest desire after a life of addiction was help others.
Paul says that a
“prospector is a person who digs around in the ground searching for riches.”
In this case, it’s about digging for young men who have been devastated by addiction and helping them see Jesus as the only answer. He is the “riches.”
Two years later, Paul shares that his friend is helping other men. Even though he doesn’t have an income or education. But what he does have is experience from the devastation that was caused by addiction and the one and only hope of Jesus.
He has no money, but he has tons of satisfaction.
Paul identifies! he has been moved into spaces where he has no natural abilities. But God has called him.
Watch the video below to learn of the incredible story as well as how Joe relates to overcoming addiction and the challenges that come with it as God helps him make it all work.
